Splash No. 221 - Fall Break
Fall Break
It turns out that I haven't taken a break from writing these since May, and it's nearly the beginning of fall now, so it seems as good of a time as any to take a couple of weeks off once again to get my bearings back! I'm still getting readjusted to Pacific Time, which has a larger effect on my life than you'd expect. I wonder if taking seasonal breaks a few times a year is a more sustainable way to write these newsletters, especially since I typically feel more excited to write after taking some time off. We will see!
Talk soon.
Drops of the Week
ALBUM - Don't You Feel Amazing? by Trash Boat - album from last year by one of my favorite bands that I only recently got into.
ARTICLE - "Does My Father Know You?" by Jonathan Tjarks - Jonathan Tjarks passed away this past weekend. I've been reading his NBA coverage for years and years and he wrote this brilliant piece when he got sick in the first place. RIP.
POEM - "Once in a While" by Nicodemus Nicoludis - I walk around / without headphones / making sure that bees / still to drift between small / white flowers
