Splash No. 239 - February Break?
February Break?
Hello! It feels like January flew by! I haven't taken a week off in a little bit, and we've entered my least favorite month of the year, so it feels right to take a second to recalibrate. No essay today, but I'll be sending out the next edition of reflecting pool this week.
Drops of the Week
ALBUM - 6 Feet Beneath the Moon by King Krule - revisited one of my favorite albums recently
ARTICLE - "Everyone Is Mostly the Same… (And Why This Is Good News)" by Mark Manson - important reflection of the similarity of our lives and how vulnerability can be the salve to our shared troubles
POEM - "I am learning to abandon the world" by Linda Pastan - RIP to a great poet
