Splash No. 23
Another Break
I hate every time I do this, but once again I’m without a piece that I’m willing to send out. I finished up finals this week, and it feels like the weight of an entire semester still exists on my shoulders. For this reason, I can’t seem to write anything that I feel is up to a standard that I hold myself to. However, I think that thelongread drop of the weak is particularly intriguing, and one of my favorite things I’ve read recently.
For those of you still finishing up the semester, I wish you good luck! For everyone else, I hope your week is going well. I’m forever grateful that everyone reading this takes the time to look at what I have to say. Thank you and see you next week!
Drops of the Week
where I *drop* recommendations of cool things this week
Longread
“Ernest Hemingway, The Art of Fiction No. 21” by Geore Plimpton - a 1958 interview with one of my heroes, Ernest Hemingway, who not only shares my birthday but also lived a truly remarkable and creative life.
Playlist
Your Top Songs 2017 - Spotify generates a playlist of the top 100 songs that you listened to throughout the year. You can see what I was jamming to, but one of my most played songs is missing since I discovered after this playlist was made: “Red Bottom Sky” by Yung Lean.
Color
Color of the Year 2018 - Every year Pantone picks a color of the year, and it looks like this upcoming year’s is the beautiful “Ultra Violet”
